The moment

A building finished, not yet lived in.

The Goodweather replaces a single house with two compact buildings between the Sunnyside CTrain and McHugh Bluff. Colour, rhythm, and care on a modest lot. Right now it sits in the short window between construction and daily life. The list is how you step into it first.

The developer

Part + Parcel builds a few buildings at a time, in Calgary neighbourhoods we know, and keeps them.

The housing is missing-middle, designed to be lived in for decades rather than flipped. Studio North designs it, we hold and run it, and the people responsible are easy to find. The name is the point. Part and parcel means belonging to a place, not landing on it.

The homes

Two ways to live here.

Purpose-built rentals shaped for everyday life. Each home has its own front door, an outdoor connection, and windows on three sides.

The place

Steps from the train, the bluff, and Kensington.

Sunnyside is one of Calgary's oldest neighbourhoods. The Goodweather leaves the car behind and leans on what is already close: transit, paths, the park, and the shops around the corner. Secure bike storage for every home.

Before It Becomes Home

For one evening, the drawings come back to the walls.

Friday, August 7 · 8:00 to 10:00 pm · 810 9A Street NW

An immersive projection experience at The Goodweather, part of Design Week Calgary. As the August sun sets, the facade becomes a living canvas, revealing fragments of the building's making alongside glimpses of its future. It's the building as the city actually meets it: in fragments, in motion, and as part of everyday life.

Presented by Studio North. Part + Parcel and Arch House work alongside as one team across design, development, and delivery. This is the evening that marks the turn from one to the next, before anyone moves in.

Getting there

Two minutes on foot from the Sunnyside CTrain: exit the station and follow the bike path on the east side of the tracks, past Sunnyside Station Park. On foot or by bike you can also come through Sunnyside, down the bluff path from Rosedale, or via the Rainbow Underpass from Riley Park. Open in maps
